"Think on These Things" by Pastor Martin
A lot of effort should be put into making sure you do the right things. Reading your Bible, praying, attending church services and activities, listening to your parents, pastors and Sunday school teachers are all vital to keeping you spiritually well enough to do the right things. These are all good things, but we need to make sure we add another good thing, which involves our mind and what we think about.
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (KJV)
What kind of things are you finding yourself thinking about? I believe most of our wrong actions are due to wrong thinking. When one sins, it is usually not a surprise because it has already been thought about beforehand. So check your thinking. If you have right thinking, then you are more apt to do the right things, by the grace of God.
